Acropora sp. #3
Introduced on the 28th January 2017. Heavily bleached by incorrect light settings and, later on, infected with red bugs. By September 2018 it still hadn't encrusted onto the rock work and growth had slowed to a snails pace. To make matters worse it was beginning to be overshadowed by the Stylophora and Pinnigorgia. The final straw was on the 17th September 2018 when the glue holding the coral down failed and the Acro fell off the rockwork. I considered fragging off the uppermost part and fixing it down again but with the red bugs ever present in the tank it was never going to thrive so I decided to accept defeat and bin it.
